Traffic Stoppages Planned on Ramp from I-66 East to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) for Overhead Utility Work on Sunday Night, Sept. 20, and Monday Night, Sept. 21
FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages are planned for the ramp from I-66 East to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North and South during overnight hours Sunday, September, 20, and Monday, September 21, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. The stoppages are needed for Dominion Energy to install new overhead wires at Route 123. Three 20-minute stoppages of traffic on the ramp are planned each night to accommodate this work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
State Police will be on hand to aid in the coordination of the stoppages. Drivers should expect delays in the area during this work.
All work is weather dependent, and will be rescheduled for the following day if inclement conditions occur.
