Pipe Replacement along Fairfax Station Road Aug. 16-19
Update: Closure rescheduled for Aug. 23-26 due to weather


Update: Due to weather, the work has been postponed. The closure is now scheduled from 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26.


FAIRFAX STATION
– Fairfax Station Road (Route 660) between Colchester Road (Route 612) and Route 123 (Ox Road) will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, from 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 to replace stormwater pipes at the Moonpatterns Trail intersection, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Those needing to reach properties along Fairfax Station Road and Moonpatterns Trail will have access; however, Fairfax Station Road traffic will only be able to access Moonpatterns Trail via the Colchester Road side, and Fairfax Station Road traffic will not be able to go beyond Moonpatterns Trail in either direction.

Through traffic will be detoured via Route 123, Popes Head Road (Route 654) and Colchester Road back to Fairfax Station Road.
