Virtual VDOT Northern Virginia Career Fair is Oct. 7
Hundreds of students will learn about transportation-related careers from about 50 employers

FAIRFAX – The Virginia Department of Transportation Northern Virginia District is working to help foster the transportation workforce of tomorrow via its virtual 17th Transportation Career Fair Thursday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A major focus of the Career Fair over the past several years has been to provide various career pathways and professional networking opportunities to students after high school. About 50 engineering firms, organizations, agencies and contractors from across the Commonwealth will give hundreds of high school students the chance to network and learn about career, scholarship and internship opportunities in civil engineering, architecture, technology, construction, environmental, administration and other transportation-related fields.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with potential employers and interact one-on-one with exhibitors in virtual rooms that will feature presentations and panelists.

To register for the virtual event and get more information, visit www.virginiadot.org/novacareerfair.
