Braddock Road Multimodal Improvements Public Information Meeting in Burke July 26

BURKE – The Virginia Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting Wednesday, July 26 on planned multimodal and access management improvements along three miles of Braddock Road (Route 620) between Humphries Drive and Ravensworth Road, and along a half-mile of Ravensworth Road between Braddock Road and Heritage Drive. The project area also includes the eastbound and westbound Braddock Road ramps to southbound I-495 (Capital Beltway Outer Loop).

The improvements include:

  • Braddock Road intersection improvements, including at Rolling Road, Burke Lake Road and Wakefield Chapel Road/Danbury Forest Drive
  • New and upgraded shared-use paths along both sides of Braddock Road

The project aims to improve multimodal safety, mobility and accessibility for all users.

Within the project limits, Braddock Road averages about 61,000 vehicles a day and Ravensworth Road averages 14,000.

Get Involved

Stop by between 6:30 and 9 p.m. at Lake Braddock Secondary School, 9200 Burke Lake Road, Burke, VA 22015. Please come into the school through entrance 15. A presentation will begin at 7 p.m. and project staff will be available to answer questions. Spanish and Vietnamese interpreters will also be on hand.

In advance of the meeting, residents and travelers are encouraged to view a voiceover presentation or view PDF presentations in EnglishSpanish or Vietnamese.
