Colchester Road Closed in Fairfax Station September 8-9
Superstructure and deck replacement for bridge over Popes Head Creek
FAIRFAX STATION – Colchester Road (Route 612) between Fairfax Station Road (Route 660) and Stonecrest Lane will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, from 8 p.m. Friday, September 8 to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 9 to replace the superstructure and deck of the bridge over Popes Head Creek, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
During the work, no vehicles will be allowed to go beyond the bridge (near 6501 Colchester Road) in either direction. Those needing to reach properties along Colchester Road past the bridge will have access via a pedestrian platform.
