Creamer Lane Reduced to One Lane in Hillsboro Beginning Feb. 22
Daytime flagging during culvert replacement

HILLSBORO – Beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, weather permitting, Creamer Lane (Route 689) will be reduced to one lane between Bookcliff Court and Shadowbrook Lane for about two weeks due to culvert replacement, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

There will be one lane of alternating traffic via flagging Mondays through Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day, during which times there may also be brief traffic stoppages to allow equipment and crews to work within the roadway. At all other times during the approximately two-week construction period, drivers are asked to yield to oncoming traffic in the work zone.

Drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.

You can get real-time traffic, work zone and incident information online at 511virginia.org, via the free mobile 511Virginia app, or by calling 511 in Virginia anywhere anytime.
