Gallows Road Reduced to Two Lanes Over I-66 During Overnight Hours Next Week, May 30-31, for Bridge Work
A single travel lane will run in each direction in the northbound lanes
UPDATE (6/1/2023): The bridge deck pour has been cancelled for Friday, June 2.
UPDATE (5/31/2023): The bridge deck pour scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to Friday, June 2. The closure and hours will be the same as detailed below.
FAIRFAX – Gallows Road over I-66 will be reduced to a single travel lane in each direction during the overnight hours Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for concrete bridge deck pours for the new Gallows Road South Bridge over I-66. Southbound Gallows Road will be closed with two-way traffic running on Gallows Road North during this period.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
Details include:
Tuesday, May 30, and Wednesday, May 31
Gallows Road North and South over I-66
- Gallows Road South will be closed between Stenhouse Place and Avenir Place/Bellforest Drive from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Two-way traffic will travel in a single lane each way on the northbound side of Gallows Road in that area.
- All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m.
