I-66/Nutley Street Interchange Bypass Lanes to Open to Traffic On or About June 14
Overnight closures of Nutley Street planned June 11-13 for final paving to implement traffic change

UPDATE (6/13/2023): The opening of the new Nutley Street bypass lanes at I-66 has been delayed. They will not open tomorrow morning, Wednesday, June 14.

FAIRFAX – A permanent traffic pattern change will be implemented on Nutley Street North and South at I-66 during the early morning hours on or about Wednesday, June 14. New bypass lanes will open, allowing drivers from Nutley Street to access I-66 without using the roundabouts. The interchange will then be in its permanent configuration as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Overnight lane and road closures of Nutley Street North and South over I-66 with detours are planned nightly Sunday, June 11, through Tuesday, June 13, for crews to perform final paving within the interchange area in preparation of the new lanes opening.

Drivers should expect delays if traveling in this area and are encouraged to use alternate routes. All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled to the following day should inclement conditions occur.
