I-66 Overnight Stoppages in Rosslyn Tonight and Sept. 19
Update: Eastbound stoppages at mile marker 74.3 rescheduled for Friday night, Sept. 15

Update: The eastbound I-66 stoppages at mile marker 74.3 (located between North Scott Street and North Nash Street) have been rescheduled for Friday night, Sept. 15 between midnight and 4 a.m.

ROSSLYN – Weather permitting, I-66 will have overnight intermittent traffic stoppages tonight and Tuesday night, Sept. 19 to install new overhead sign structures, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The full stoppages lasting up to 20 minutes each will occur according to the following schedule:

  • Tonight: Eastbound at mile marker 73.7 (located between Spout Run Parkway and 21st Street North) between midnight and 4 a.m.
  • Tonight: Eastbound at mile marker 74.3 (located between North Scott Street and North Nash Street) between midnight and 4 a.m.
  • Tuesday night, Sept. 19: Eastbound and westbound at mile marker 74.8 (located between North Lynn Street and Route 110) between midnight and 4 a.m.

Drivers should expect delays and are advised to use alternate routes.

Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
