Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges February 6-10 for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Details include:
Monday, February 6, through Wednesday, February 8
Ramp from I-495 North to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed each night from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. for overhead bridge and drainage work. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) East, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 East.
Tuesday night, February 7
Ramp from I-66 West to Route 50 East
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for barrier removal. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) South, stay to the right to I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 50 East.
Thursday, February 9
Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 West
Ramp from Braddock Road/Walney Road to I-66 West
The ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for noise wall work. Traffic from Braddock Road and Walney Road will be directed to Route 28 South. Route 28 South traffic will continue farther south, exit to Route 29 (Lee Highway) South, travel about one mile, then follow signs to I-66 West.
Friday night, February 10
Ramp from I-66 East to Route 50 West
The ramp will be closed from midnight to 4 a.m. for barrier removal. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North, stay to the left and turn left at the traffic signal onto Route 123 North, stay right to I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 50 West.
