Overnight Ramp Closures at Multiple I-66 Interchanges November 28 - December 1 for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project
FAIRFAX – Temporary ramp closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours at the following I-66 interchanges as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
Tuesday night, November 28, through Friday night, December 1
Ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed on multiple nights from midnight to 4 a.m. for punch list work. Traffic will be detoured farther south to Route 29 North, stay right to Route 28 North, then follow signs to I-66 East.
Thursday, November 30
Ramp from Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) South to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for light pole installation. Traffic will be directed farther south to the ramp to I-66 East, stay right to the ramp to Route 286 North, then stay right and follow signs to I-66 West.
Thursday, November 30
Ramp from Nutley Street North to I-66 West
The ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sign installation. Traffic will be directed to continue north, stay to the left and make a U-turn from the left-most left turn lane at the traffic signal at Virginia Center Boulevard onto Nutley Street South, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West.
Thursday, November 30, and Friday, December 1
Ramp from Nutley Street South to I-66 East
The ramp will be closed both nights from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for sign structure removal. Traffic will be detoured farther south, stay to the left and make a U-turn at the traffic signal at Route 29 onto Nutley Street North, then follow signs to I-66 East
All work is weather and/or schedule dependent and may be rescheduled as needed.
