Overnight Ramp Closures at the I-66/Route 29 Interchange in Centreville Planned Thursday night, September 7, and Saturday night, September 9, as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project

FAIRFAX – The ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 North and South Centreville will be closed Thursday night, September 7, and Saturday night, September 9, from midnight to 2 a.m. for striping. Traffic will be detoured prior to the closure to Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29 North or South.

When crews have completed the work on the ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 North and South, the ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 West will be closed from about 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. during the overnight hours on Thursday and Saturday nights, also for striping. Traffic will be directed to continue farther north to the intersection of Machen Road/Trinity Parkway. At the traffic signal drivers will use the left-most left turn lane to make a U-turn onto Route 29 South, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West.

All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
