Stringfellow Road Under I-66 Reduced to a Single Travel Lane in Each Direction During the Overnight Hours Friday, April 14, and Saturday, April 15
Express lanes ramps at Stringfellow Road will also be closed both nights
FAIRFAX - Stringfellow Road under I-66 will operate in a single lane in each direction during the overnight hours Friday, April 14, and Saturday, April 15, for noise wall installation. Two-way traffic will alternate running in the northbound or southbound lanes both nights based on construction progress. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
The ramps from Stringfellow Road to the 66 Express eastbound and from the 66 Express westbound to Stringfellow Road will also be closed both nights in conjunction with this work. Overhead signs will direct drivers to alternate routes.
Drivers should expect delays if traveling in this area and consider using alternate routes.
Details include:
Friday, April 14, and Saturday, April 15
Stringfellow Road between Fair Lakes Boulevard and Westbrook Drive/Village Square Drive
- Stringfellow Road will be reduced to one travel lane in each direction from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Two-way traffic will alternate running in the northbound or southbound travel lanes depending upon construction progress.
- All lanes will reopen by 7 a.m.

Ramp from the 66 Express westbound to Stringfellow Road
- The ramps will be closed from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Overhead signs will direct drivers to alternate routes.
- The ramps will reopen by 7 a.m.
All work is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if inclement conditions occur.
