Weekend Lane Closure on I-495 South Collector-Distributor Road to Georgetown Pike in McLean Beginning Tonight, October 20
Exits to George Washington Memorial Parkway and Georgetown Pike Will Remain Open

FAIRFAX, VA – Starting tonight at 8 p.m., and continuing for approximately 48 hours through the weekend, the right lane of the southbound I-495 collector-distributor road between George Washington Memorial Parkway (exit 43) and Georgetown Pike (exit 44) will be closed so crews can build a temporary ramp as part of the 495 NEXT Project. The left lane of the collector-distributor road, including the entry point (from George Washington Memorial Parkway to the southbound I-495 collector-distributor road), and both exits (exit 43 and 44) will remain open. The closure will be continuous from 8 p.m. Friday, October 20 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 22. The lane closure primarily will affect motorists traveling on southbound I-495 exiting at Georgetown Pike.

This work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled if needed.

Drivers are urged to use caution and expect potential delays if traveling through this area.

Visit 495NEXT.org for the latest construction and lane closure information.
