TRANSPORTATION BOARD AWARDS CONTRACT FOR PAVING INTERSTATE 85 NORTH IN DINWIDDIE COUNTY
$7.1 million awarded to resurface approximately seven miles of I-85 north
DINWIDDIE, Va. — At its monthly meeting, the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) awarded a contract worth approximately $7.1 million to Allan Myers VA, Inc., of Glen Allen to pave a segment of Interstate 85 north in Dinwiddie County.
The work will resurface approximately seven miles of I-85 north between Hamilton Arms Road (mile marker 48) and mile marker 56. The resurfacing will allow for safer travel and help prolong the working life of the existing pavement. The paving work will be completed in the 2020-21 paving season, along with multiple other planned paving projects.
