VDOT TO HOST ONLINE PUBLIC MEETING ON STAPLES MILL ROAD (ROUTE 33) SMALL AREA PLAN IN HENRICO
Register now at bit.ly/StaplesMillMeeting2

SOUTH CHESTERFIELD, Va. — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will hold a virtual public meeting for an ongoing study on the Staples Mill Road (Route 33) Small Area Plan in Henrico County on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Citizens are encouraged to attend and learn more and help refine specific transportation options for Staples Mill Road. The meeting will consist of a presentation from 6-7 p.m., followed by a question and answer session from 7-7:30 p.m. Please pre-register to attend the public meeting at http://bit.ly/StaplesMillMeeting2.

A virtual public meeting was previously held in January 2022 to provide an update on transportation issues and opportunities in the study area. The recorded webinar is available online.

The purpose of the study is to identify multimodal transportation needs and improvements on Staples Mill Road and other key streets near the Staples Mill Road Amtrak Station in Henrico. These conceptual transportation solutions may be eligible for funding resources in the future, including the SMART SCALE program.

A computer or smart phone is needed to gain access to the online public meeting. If you plan to use your smart phone, please download the GoToWebinar app in advance of the meeting.

Meeting materials will also be available on VDOT’s website at https://www.virginiadot.org/projects/richmond/staples_mill_road_small_area_plan.asp.
