TRAFFIC ALERT: LEFT LANE CLOSURE IN PLACE FOR REPAIRS ON SOUTHBOUND ROUTE 220 IN ROANOKE COUNTY
SALEM – As of June 3, a left lane closure for roadway repairs is in place on southbound Route 220 in Roanoke County near the bridge over Back Creek.
The left lane is closed about 0.2 mile north of Route 220’s intersection with Route 657 (Crowell Gap Road) and approximately six miles north of Boones Mill.
A portion of the left lane of southbound Route 220 has settled following the recent rainfall. The lane is anticipated to remain closed until the afternoon of Friday, June 5.
Drivers should expect possible delays on southbound Route 220, especially during peak travel times.
