In Design: Route 50 over Goose Creek Bridge Replacement in Fauquier County
Cost and schedule ►
Public outreach ►
This project will replace the Route 50 bridge over Goose Creek. The bridge located between the Village of Upperville and the Town of Middleburg was built in 1954.
The project includes corrosion-resistant steel to reduce long-term maintenance, as well as aesthetic treatment of the bridge parapets and rails that will pay homage to the surrounding historic area. Two lanes will remain along the new bridge with wider shoulders in each direction.
The bridge averages 7,600 vehicles a day based on 2019 data.
