The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) touches the lives of all citizens of the commonwealth.

Partnering with national, state and community organizations that assist individuals with a variety of needs helps us ensure we provide service and value to all Virginians. 

We partner with organizations to assist veterans, military spouses, individuals with disabilities and underserved communities with employment opportunities, career development, training opportunities and more as they explore the world of transportation.

Science, Technology, Education and Mathematics (STEM) Outreach

Our STEM outreach program provides innovative resources for teachers, students and learning organizations.

We partner with several organizations in communities across the commonwealth to increase knowledge of STEM principles and how they relate to transportation, as well as highlight career paths within VDOT that students interested in STEM fields can take.
